The Telegraph Quartet  formed in 2013 with an equal passion for the standard chamber music repertoire and contemporary, non-standard works alike. Described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “…an incredibly valuable addition to the cultural landscape” and “powerfully adept… with a combination of brilliance and subtlety,” the Telegraph Quartet is a previous recipient of the prestigious Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Award and the Grand Prize at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.

Crescendo: a Memoir in Music and Stories?
Anthea Kreston, violin

 Crescendo: Stories and Performance from an Adventurous Life in Music is a show which combines spoken stories and live music from the memoir, Crescendo. Weaving together music and stories, world-renowned violinist, Anthea Kreston, takes us from 
Tajikistan to Carnegie Hall on a whirlwind adventure.

Crescendo delves into themes such as obsession, mental illness, love, family, being a woman in a man’s world, career, infertility, and relentless, optimistic determination in overcoming hardships.

Tomás Cotik is a violinist, recording artist, and Professor of Violin at Portland State University. He has released 20 albums on Naxos and Centaur Records, reaching more than five million streams worldwide. His discography includes complete works by Bach, Telemann, Mozart, and Schubert, as well as widely praised recordings of Piazzolla and Spanish repertoire. His most recent release, Paganini: Capriccio, features a personal selection of Paganini works and has received international attention. For more, click here
Shinmyung Rho is an accomplished soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist whose career spans South Korea, Germany, and the United States. She holds advanced degrees in piano and collaborative piano from the Universität der Künste Berlin and the Hanns Eisler School of Music, where she studied with Fabio Bidini, Wolfram Rieger, and Mi-Joo Lee.

Praised by The New Yorker as “a fresh and vital young participant in what is a golden age of American string quartets,” the Daedalus Quartet has established itself as a leader among the new generation of string ensembles. Since winning the top prize in the Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2001, the Daedalus Quartet has impressed critics and listeners alike with the security, technical finish, interpretive unity, and sheer gusto of its performances. The New York Times has praised the Daedalus Quartet’s “insightful and vibrant” Haydn, the “impressive intensity” of their Beethoven, their “luminous” Berg, and the “riveting focus” of their Dutilleux. The Washington Post in turn has acclaimed their performance of Mendelssohn for its “rockets of blistering virtuosity,” while the Houston Chronicle has described the “silvery beauty” of their Schubert and the “magic that hushed the audience” when they played Ravel, the Boston Globe the “finesse and fury” of their Shostakovich, the Toronto Globe and Mail the “thrilling revelation” of their Hindemith, and the Cincinnati Enquirer the “tremendous emotional power” of their Brahms

Yaël Weiss – Piano​

A captivating presence on the concert scene, award-winning Israeli-American pianist Yaël Weiss has been hailed by many of today's greatest musicians and critics for visionary interpretations of surpassing depth, immediacy and communicative power. Following a recent recital, the Washington Post portrayed her as “a pianist who delves deeply and tellingly into that cloudy area where fantasy morphs into improvisation, inventiveness being common to both.”

Texas Guitar Quartet

May May Formed in 2009, GRAMMY™-nominated Texas Guitar Quartet has been hailed as “Impeccable in every respect” by Classical Guitar Magazine. Throughout the United States, Central America, Spain, and China, audiences have embraced the quartet for their daring programs, dazzling virtuosity and joyful music making. Recent highlights include performances for the Encuentro Internacional de Guitarra 2016 (Nicaragua), Victoria Bach Festival, Guitar Foundation of America Convention, Festival Internacional del Noreste (Mexico), and Texas Music Festival. During the summer of 2015, the quartet presented a series of concerts in historic cathedrals along the Camino de Santiago, Spain.

The Aeolus Quartet formed in 2008 with a vision to share the permanent power of the string quartet repertoire with wide-ranging listeners. Aeolus has brought vibrant and expressive interpretations to audiences across the globe.
Based in New York City, the Aeolus Quartet brings
“high-octane” excitement (Strad) and “dusky lyricism” (New York Times) with dedication to all of its artistic endeavors, placing new and lesser known works side-by-side with the time honored masterworks of the medium.
